What a start to the year it's been! We're excited to share all the powerful new features and enhancements we've launched to help clients streamline operations, improve guest communication, and drive more revenue. From smarter messaging tools to expanded reporting and automation, these updates are designed to make your day-to-day easier. 

Here’s a closer look at what’s new in Breezeway this year 🚀

Operations ⚙️

  • Owner Reporting Enhancements: We've made it easier to manage owner communications by adding support for multiple owners per property, advanced task filtering, and the ability to preview reports before sending them to owners. 
  • Owner Task Approvals: Admins and department supervisors can now send approval requests for high-cost or critical tasks directly to property owners via email. Responses (the owner’s approval or rejection of the work) are logged within the task history for easy tracking and moving projects forward.
  • Stripe Dashboard Access: If you’re using Breezeway Payments, you can now access the Stripe Express account directly within Breezeway. This provides full visibility into your payment history and allows you to easily access tax documents, eliminating the need for external tracking.
  • Task Reordering: Drag and drop tasks to prioritize them in real time. This improvement gives teams better control over scheduling and ensures high-priority work gets done first.
  • Two-Factor Authentication: A new security measure that adds an extra layer of protection. Clients will be required to enter a one-time email code at login, reducing the risk of unauthorized account access.

Messaging + Assist 💬

  • Smart Auto-Checkout: Expand the usage of the checkout message. Using AI, Breezeway will now detect guest messages indicating checkout (e.g., "We're leaving now") and automatically update turnover schedules, helping to stay ahead of scheduled work. 
  • Conversation Summaries: AI-powered message summaries allow clients to quickly understand the context of guest conversations without scrolling through long message threads.
  • Always Send Messages: Last-minute guest bookings often result in missed pre-arrival messages. This new toggle option ensures that essential pre-arrival messages are sent regardless of when a guest books, ensuring guests get your essential communications.
  • Unread Message Settings: Clients can now customize how unread messages are displayed, either company-wide (shared across all team members) or per user (individual tracking).
  • Message Sorting: Conversations can now be sorted based on the most recent guest message, ensuring guest inquiries aren’t buried under system-generated messages.
  • WhatsApp Onboarding Improvements: A more streamlined onboarding process for WhatsApp Messaging customers, reducing setup time by ~35% and minimizing back-and-forth communication.
  • Breezeway Blueprint: Assist clients can now access a centralized hub for operational guidelines and property-specific processes. This replaces scattered spreadsheets, ensuring the Assist hospitality professionals have quick access to property information. 

Guide + Upsells 📲

  • Custom Fields for Guide: Add custom fields to your Guides for even further customization, ensuring guests have the most relevant and detailed information for their stay.
  • Guide Search: Guests can now search for specific terms within their Guide, making it easier to find information on property rules, amenities, and checkout instructions.
  • Upsells Guest Notifications: Guests can now opt in for SMS notifications on Upsell requests, keeping them informed about confirmations, price changes, approvals, denials, and cancellations.
  • Upsells Auto Approvals: Automate Upsell approvals based on pre-defined conditions, reducing manual work and ensuring timely confirmations.
  • Upsells Automatic Task Creation: When an upsell request is approved, tasks are automatically created and scheduled, keeping operations seamless and reducing the manual burden.
  • Upsells Report Enhancements: New filtering options, bulk exports, and date range selectors make it easier to track and analyze Upsell performance.

Integration Updates 🔗

  • Integration Status Visibility: Users can now identify and resolve integration errors directly in the web app. Admin notifications via email and in-app banners ensure that no issues go unnoticed.
  • Avantio Reservation Add-ons: New functionality enables property managers using Avantio to retrieve reservation add-ons, helping streamline guest services.
  • New Integration Partner: eviivo – Breezeway now integrates with eviivo, allowing property managers to handle guest communications, bookings, and OTAs within a single platform.
