Breezeway CEO & Founder, Jeremy Gall, virtually sat down with Omer Rabin, Guesty's Operating Director of the America's, to compare and contrast the results of their recent industry surveys, and discuss the shifts in vacation rental bookings and property operations.

As Jeremy and Omer met over zoom to discuss their respective survey findings, the narrative of new traveler expectations and behaviors was the common denominator. The two thought leaders take the data several steps further, analyzing how the survey results will prompt vacation rental managers to rethink every aspect of property management; from marketing rentals and communicating with guests to changes in operational processes and remote work coordination.

For the first time since March 3rd, Airbnb reported that its guests booked more than one million nights globally on July, 8th, indicating that many people have emerged from shelter-in-place orders for some respite. While professionally-managed vacation rentals are currently thought as the safest accommodation type, it's no surprise that the survey results illustrate that cleanliness and sanitation have taken center stage, and that guests are demanding properties that are maintained to heightened standards. These elevated consumer expectations increase the demands placed on hospitality operators, adding to the existing challenges of servicing unique properties, multiple locations, frequent requests, and doing so with fluid and unpredictable scheduling needs.

In this On-Demand discussion, Jeremy and Omer:

  • Dissect the data collected in their respective survey reports
  • Review how these results showcase the changes in our current travel climate
  • Discuss how their findings will shape travel dynamics in 2020 and beyond
  • Collaborate on ideas to help professional managers navigate the pandemic
