Purchase the 'Commitment to Safety' certification package from Breezeway (Use promo code 'PROPER15' for 15% off). Within 24 hours, a detailed pre-checklist will be sent to you by e-mail. This can be printed, reviewed on a computer, or smartphone/tablet. Instructions for completing the final inspection certification using the Breezeway app will also be included. The Breezeway app is included with the purchase of the inspection certification (an Apple or Android smartphone/device is required to access the app).
Using Breezeway's mobile app, you'll be guided through each step of the inspection; prompted to take photos of certain items and safety precautions (photos are geo-tagged for verification). Once complete, your inspection is submitted to a Dwell Safe Certified Short-Term Rental Safety Inspector to review and approve. You have 31 days from the time of purchase to submit the final inspection. The final inspection should take less than 30 minutes to complete in an average 3-bedroom home.
If there are any issues with your inspection, you'll be contacted and given the opportunity to correct them within a certain timeframe. Once approved and certified by Breezeway, you'll be issued a 'Commitment to Safety' certification registration number, that is good for one year. Both physical and digital decals with your certification number will be sent to you to add to your property listings, and adhere in a prominent location in your rental dwelling. Additionally, this certification can qualify you for 5% off of your Proper Insurance premium.
